New Rule

Today is November 4th. I'm instigating a new rule for this blog:

If you are a US citizen and eligible to vote in this general election, you are not allowed to read this blog again until you have voted.

This does not apply if you are reading this after polls have closed (for example email subscribers who get new posts some time after they are uploaded).

Thank you, and have a nice day.

  1. I voted! & then I celebrated like MAD--Cozy said you were celebrating down in El Salvador, & I love the fact that the whole world is celebrating along with (most of) America. Pike & Broadway was packed with people...

  3. I think I'm the only one pissed about the election. Obama is great, but now I live in a seriously fucked up state. Three cheer for bigotry, may it die hard.

(California just barely passed a constitutional amendment to explicitly ban gay marriage)

    Oh, and yes I voted.

  4. I was on a bus today with an African American man who turned to me and said what a great week it was. I agreed. He then went on to say that he couldn't remember a more important day since the birth of his daughter.

A great and important week for all of us.

  5. Good work people. I seriously considered writing a whole post about how this election has seriously impacted my travels and how everyone else views me as an American abroad... but I think the time has passed.

Cali, you slay me. I mean thanks for the extra electoral votes but, damn. When you elected Arnold governor, I just figured it was quirky. But I can't just write this one off like that. Unfortunately, it wasn't the only state that did that this election either, from what I've heard.
